We are committed to keeping the site current & operational to help keep the people within the marine industry employed and thriving. |

Because MTC was designed to benefit all member groups we serve and the site is a lot more than just a employment website, we believe that a modest fee is fair. But, there are ways to get free membership - for further details read below.
|

If a Vessel Owner needs to have a bilge pump installed on his boat or yacht and you authored a tip or identified a new regulation about the installation of a bilge pump, the chance of his next call or email being to you to do the installation is probably pretty high.

|
3. How could contributing to Tech Tips help get me a job? Answer |
If a company has an opening for a rigger, and as a rigger you posted a tip on how to properly rig and tune a sailing vessel, you can refer them to your tip which will probably help the decision to hire you.

Logged in as a Craftsman
1. I just recently moved from South Florida and was a member of the site before I moved. I just posted that I am looking for a job as a rigger in the New York metro area but the posting on the find craftsman search engine still says South Florida. Why has this not changed? Answer |
If you are logged in as a Craftsman and want to change the region that appears in the search engines you must change the home region on your “Profile”. The region box on your job posting form is used by the My Matches tool only.
|
2. I am unable to view the details of other craftsman on the site, why can I not see them? Answer |
To maintain full privacy, we see no need for a member of a membership group to see the personal details on the postings of other members in the same group. The information that is displayed can be used as a tool for you to see other postings in your field and area of interest.
